Rise! my angel, like the rising morning,
And kiss me with thy lips, as the new breeze
Compels my effete kind of weak limbs
To arise from the palms of slumber's bliss.
Caress me with mellow songs of mild source
As i calmly listen to the your rhythm,
And let us sit and ride the white horse,
Of nature, into the land of beauty.
I will pluck the fruits of the sky for thee,
And paint the smiling sun a brilliant blue.
I will count the light of the sky for you,
In the lone night, under the dancing tree.
I will fore'er sing you a serenade
Through the shrubs, and the green meadow.
When the smiling sun shines on our shadows,
As we laugh and play near the flowin' cascade.
