“It forks a distinct path that might not be possible to reverse”
When you decide to take a path and you make a decision, it is like unto a discharged projectile that cannot be stopped and whose flight cannot be reversed. Life is all about making decisions and accepting them for what they are.
You make the decisions to rise up every day and prepare for a new day, unless the decision is taken out of your hands. You make the decisions to eat and nourish your body every day, unless the body takes the decisions out of your hands when you are hungry.
When you make decisions in life, there will always be a margin of error. A man is not perfect in his ways and so will be his decisions when he makes them. In making a decision, sometimes we ponder for days, hours or weeks before we finally make up our mind. Most times, it is a tough decision to make, depending on the moment and place.
When we are making a decisions, we are trying to find solutions to an existing problem and for this reason we need the lord to guide our ways and steps.
Proverb: 16:9: A man's heart devises his way: but the LORD directs his steps.
Yeah! A man chooses his way in his heart, but to walk that way with little obstacle in one’s path, the lord needs to be the one to direct our path. Most times, we ignore God’s guidance when we make a decisions, but I have come to the realization that God’s way his best. Do you believe this too? Have you also come to the same realization? If so, that is great. If not, learn to depend on him.
James: 1:5: If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all men liberally, and upbraids not; and it shall be given him.
To be sincere, what we sometimes forget to do when we are in a difficult position is that all we need to do is ask and he will answer us. May we always remember to consult Him when we make our decisions.
James: 3:17: But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to understand, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Aye! The wisdom of God is all that we need to choose our paths, make our decisions and live to be beacon of light in his name.
May we always remember Him when we make our decisions.
